adds an additional 1100 pipe, orchestral and percussion sounds. |
Community Hand Bell Group
The Community Hand Bell Group meets every Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:30 in the morning in lower Bushnell Hall. This group is open to anyone in the community or from Central Baptist Church that desires to ring hand bells. Jane Nolan from Gales Ferry CT is the director. Jane has many years of hand bell experience and is also the director of the Shoreline Ringers (www.shorelineringers.org). The community hand bell group was formed in the Spring of 2007 as an outreach to our community - ALL are welcome. The group is available for performances outside the church facility.

Hand Bell Choir
Our church Bell Choir meets every Wednesday morning from 9:30-11:00a.m. in lower Bushnell Hall. New ringers are encouraged and welcome. The choir typically rings every six or seven weeks as a part of worship services. We ring using three octaves of Schulmerich Hand bells and three octaves of choir chimes. |
Choir
Our Voice Choir has rehearsal on Wednesday evenings at 7:15 p.m. New members are always welcome. We meet for rehearsals every Wednesday evening in the Music Room located through lower Bushnell Hall. The choir also "warms-up" Sunday mornings at 10:00 in the Music Room. The choir sings regularly at Worship September through early June. During the summer months, a "pick-up choir" meets in the Music Room 30 minutes before worship to pick-up a piece of music, learn it - then sing it during the worship service. |
