Norwich Clergy Association

Food Locker Program

Community Hosting

In addition to our church sponsored programs, we make our facilities available to outside organizations.  The First Haitian Baptist Church, a new member church of the American Baptist Churches of Connecticut, was a welcome guest until moving to their own building. Another new Haitian congregation, Psalm23 Ministries worships on our church as well.

A Gathering Place meets in our Upper Bushnell Hall on Tuesdays from 2:00p.m.-5:00p.m.  This is a place of rest and fellowship for those who are homeless.

Started in 1971 in response to the needs of the community.  The Food locker has remained a staple of community support for more than 35 years.  In 1993 the Food Locker became affiliated with the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut/ Labor Food Bank . The programs is currently administered by Mrs. Barbara Trocki along with some steadfast volunteers.  The food locker has currently given out 1028 meals in 2006  and is in operation each Thursday from 9:00 am - 12:00p.m by referral from Norwich Human Services, Catholic Charities, TVVCA, Salvation Army, or Reliance House, or from any of the member church clergy.
